This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage used by Wayoni, operated by Ivan Mytrofanov, Prague, Czech Republic. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
Our current approach
Wayoni currently uses only essential first-party authentication cookies. We do not use analytics, advertising, retargeting or social-media tracking cookies. We count visits with cookie-free usage statistics, described below, which store nothing on your device. Because no non-essential cookies are set, we do not show a consent banner. If we add non-essential cookies or similar tracking technologies, we will ask for consent before setting them where the law requires it.

Both cookies are first-party, HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax. They are set only when you sign in or create an account, cannot be read by page scripts and are removed when you sign out or delete your account. They are necessary for the account service you request; blocking them means account features cannot work.
Cookie-free usage statistics
We use Umami, open-source analytics software that we run on our own server, to count page views, searches, clicks on booking links and switches to sorting results by match. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. A visitor is counted by a one-way hash of the IP address and browser details, a secret key and a value that changes at the start of every calendar month: the IP address itself is not stored, a returning visitor can be recognised within the same month but not from one month to the next, and a visit is not linked to an account. The data stays on our server and is not shared with any analytics or advertising company. Our Privacy Policy lists exactly what is recorded.
Local storage and browser permissions
We also use local storage on your device for functional choices, including your selected departure city and currency, temporary place-card data, pending booking-click information made before you sign in, and your choice if you turn off usage statistics. This data stays in your browser until it is replaced or cleared; it is not an advertising identifier. Browser location permission is separate from cookies. If you allow it, coordinates are used on-device to choose a nearby departure city and are not sent to or stored by Wayoni.
Third-party services
If you choose Google sign-in or leave Wayoni for a booking site, that provider may use its own cookies or similar technologies under its own policy. Wayoni does not control those technologies.
Your choices
You can sign out to remove the Wayoni authentication cookies and clear local storage in your browser settings. You can also block cookies in your browser, but you will not be able to use signed-in features while essential authentication cookies are blocked. For privacy questions, contact privacy@wayoni.com.
You can also turn off usage statistics for this browser. The choice is kept in local storage (under the key umami.disabled) and applies until you turn them back on or clear this site's data. Content blockers that block scripts stop them as well.
